Should I or Shouldn't I?

I had a conversation with the infamous LoloLovesScents and it sparked an idea!

The age-old dilemma with us scent/tart fanatics is when do we have ENOUGH?  

What is enough?  4 bins or 10?  When is it enough?  Long enough to last us a month or a year?

Well, after a few destashes, a HHS order, and two more on the way in the next month, I figured I'd let YOU all be the judge, if I have enough and need to be on a wax ban, or if I have the green light to buy more.  

Well, with my willpower, I'd still buy anyway.  But you get my drift.  

I'll start from top to bottom, left to right.  On the top left, I have TWO bins of HHS!  My favorite, of course I need the most from Haley's Heavenly Scents!  The red bin on the right on the top, has Sugar and Spice (some Pistachio Coconut Fluff that I'm HOARDING!) and Butterfly Lane! 

The mini grey bin is my bathroom melts, ones that are too small for my huge bowls.  Plus I like to test out different scents and vendors without having to worry that I'm not getting the full affect when I'm melting with other scents!  

Below the mini grey bin is my Shayz Scentz!  The candle jar is the last of my Bella's brittle from her sale in Pink Sugar/VBN/Serendipity.  Then last but not least, Rosegirl's, Sniff My Tarts, and my last two Front Porch tarts in Pink Lime.  

So whatcha think?  Comment below!!!  I plan on ordering Butterfly Lane for sure when she reopens in September.  A nice big order!  I may or may not be thinking about Long Cane Primitives and Streetman's!  And when JLCCW opens again....

HHS Granma's Coconut/Granma's Vanilla Bean Cookie Bread- This was good!! Very bakery coconutty blend! Yummm!

Butterfly Lane Mamaw's ZB- This is an amazing ZB!  I have to start blending it with almost everything when BL reopens!
Rosegirl's Serendipity, Keylime Pie/Ice Cream Scoop Dough Bread- This was really good (melted it with BL's Mawmaw's ZB) First Keylime scent I've liked in a while!! So much in fact, I ordered Granma's Keylime Pie from HHS!
Crabby Cookie Madness- This one, you can really smell the butter and brown sugar!! Smells sooo good!!
Crabby Pink Dunes- So nice!  Lasted for a few days, a 1oz! Pink Sands dupe, very good!

Pics, Petals and Scents Strawberry Hotcakes- This one was a good scent!! I love her strawberry!!

HHS Girl's Night Out- I love how fizzy this scent is!! This scent is NOT Bite Me, it's so much better in my opinion!  

Sugar and Spice Pistachio Coconut Fluff- Incredibly Favorite!! Yumm!! <3

HHS Divine Cake- Very nice cake scent, a little fruity with the cake, but good!

HHS Strawberry Dream Cake- Very yummy!! Strong strawberry! Lasted a few days!

No Willpower

The only time I can really stick to a wax ban is when I literally have no money for two weeks.  When I have money, I want to order.  Sad but true.  Props to you guys who have more willpower than me.  Which is, well most everyone!

I am thinking about getting Granma's Blackberry Butter Jam Cookies in brittle because I have fallen INLOVE with it!! I just don't want to fall OUT of love with it when I get the brittle.  But seriously SERIOUSLY debating on it!!!

I have also done alot of thinking about ordering from new vendors.  It seems like I am always changing my mind!! With Janet from HHS taking scent requests, I think my list of vendors that I NEED to order is dwindling down.

I am officially done ordering for summer tomorrow.  I have a $50 giftcard from BSF that I haven't used yet but will use tomorrow for the reopening.  Thinking three regular loaves and a $8 sampler.  Sounds GOOD to me! :D

I meant to mention that I have gotten my Shayz order but have been too lazy to take a picture.  I got six packs in Pink Flip Floppers, Pink Serendipity, Pink Zucchini Bread, Warm Pink Vanilla Sugar, and Pink Toastie Marshmallows!

In the cups I got: Pink Bubblicious, Pink Beans, Zucchini Marshmallow, Pink Raspberry Macaroon, Pink Amish Bread, Sunny Buns, Wildberry ZB Mousse, Pink Tea & Ginger, and Blueberry ZB!

The only one that I know I don't like is Pink Beans. I'm just not a brulee/creme brulee scent person.  I wish... because it sounds so decadent.  But it smells burnt to me... eck! But everything else smells great!!

Ava's Country Cupboard VBN- It smelled good cold, it smelled a little funny melting.  Just my opinion. I've loved the others that I got from Ava's though!! Me and VBN sometimes don't have a good relationship... lol
HHS Vanilla Delicious- I expected this one to have a chocolate undertone.  But nope.  It was just pure Vanilla, Vanilla Deliciousness! lol True to the name!!

That's it, I am pretty sure!! Such yummy things!! Can't wait! Just have to be good unti July 22nd.  It's about a month away! I can do it! I can do it! lol

Anniversary Post!

Happy Anniversary to ScentsMakeMyDay!!! Or maybe Happy birthday would be better?? I don't know!  All I know is that this blog has made it a year folks!!

As of today at 12:31PM Eastern time, this blog has 6838 views Year-To-Date.  It may not sound like much compared to alot of high traffic blogs, but I think it's pretty cool!!

I want to thank everyone for reading and commenting!  It makes me feel closer to the wax community and I feel honored that anyone even reads it!! So really, thank you everyone!! It means alot!!

Rosegirl's Lemon Confection/Pink Sugar/Pink Lady- This one was alright.  I wanted to try it but it's a nice fruity blend.  Definitely smell the lemon and apple... just not a scent for me, but great for all of you that like these fruits!!
Sugar and Spice's Mango Coconut- Did not think I'd like this, but it's very very good!! Custom Blend from Tori!  She was nice enough to send me a cup in our swap!! It's WONDERFUL!!
Sassygirl's BerrySuma- This smells so good cold, I can only imagine it'll smell FANTASTIC warm! And it did!
iHeartwax Strawberry Satsuma- I love satsuma, and I love strawberry with it, so it's the first time me trying the company!! Excited!! My husband thought he smelled greenery in it.  I can kind of understand what he was saying.

Butterfly Lane Pink ZB- I gotta say, BL's Zucchini Bread is one of my favorites!! Right up there with HHS's Granma's ZB!  It even smelled good COLD! I love this!
Butterfly Lane Pink Love Spell- I've moved past perfume dupes, but this was a really nice bedroom scent.  Nice and strong and very peachy without smelling like B.O.  Very pretty, would recommend it for you Love Spell fans!

I'm trying out some Ice Cream Scoop Dough Bread blends and some fall blends that I'll be ordering in bulk if I like them alot!!  Sooo many great possibilities!! It's endless!  

My melts for the past few days, my husband put together some fantastic, FANTASTIC blends together!!

K's Kreations Wild Pink Cookie Bread- This is definitely brittle worthy!! Yum Yum Yum! I don't smell ALOT of pink sugar but there is a sweetness that makes it more than just a wildberry blend!! Maybe the cookie?  But it's a great blend!!
K's Kreations Sunny Bliss- I have made a small observation, and I think I am in the small minority that doesn't care for the Bliss blends.  I don't know why, I love vanilla and Pink Sugar, which is what is in the scent description.   Just doesn't sit well with my nose!! I'm trying out the Swirl and Cookie blends!! Think those will be awesome, especially the cookie blends!! Yumm! <3 But this one was nice and orangey with Bliss!! If you love bliss and fruity, this one's great for you!

HHS Granma's Strawberry ZB- Mmmmmmmm I like this one too! All the Granma blends are turning out really well for me!! It's a nice candy strawberry with a subtle bread note! Yum!! So cozy!

HHS Pink Serendipity- FAVORITE
HHS Whipped VBN- I have a cup of this, but this is really good to blend with!! Very sweet gooey yummy vanilla!
Granma's Monkey Farts- FAVORITE, a Custom blend of mine!
Fluffy Pink Monkeys- I gotta admit, I like my blend of Monkey Farts and Granma's ZB better.  I thought I would try Toasted Marshmallow/Pink Sugar/Monkey Farts, but there's just too much banana!! Crazy, I know, but what can I say?  I'm picky!
Granma's Vanilla Bean Cookie Bread- Yesss!!! This one is a little different than Granma's VBN, but sweeter with that extra cookie oil!! Yum Yum Yum!!
Granma's Coconut ZB- This one is better than I expected.  First cold sniff, I smelled heavy coconut. Not soft coconut but strong coconut.  (I think with lavenders too, coconuts can be strong and almost herbal, and there are some that are creamy and soft!) I expected this one to have a strong coconut presence, but I melted it with the Granma's Vanilla Bean Cookie Bread and it was creamy and yummy! I think it would be creamy and yummy on it's own, even without the other scent!
Long Cane Primitives Pistachio Coconut Fluff- YUMM!!  This is loaf worthy, and has been going for 24 hours!!
Butterfly Lane Blackberry ButterJam Cookies/Marshmallow/ZB- FANTASTIC!! Another loaf worthy scent and was from Tori in our swap!

Butterfly Lane Cherry/ Marshmallow/ZB- Another FANTASTIC scent!! Reminds me of Prairie Bread!! Yumm!! And so strong!
HHS Raspberry Zinger- This, I did not expect to like, but it's fantastic!! Strong and yummy! Raspberry and coconut... I've never had the actual snack-cake, but if it tastes as good as it smells, I've been missing out!
HHS Granma's Butter Jam Cookies ZB- Yum!! It's really yum!! Better than regular Pink Blackberry Butter Jam Cookies!  Added HHS Whipped VBN with it, very very good!

Will be doing another post on June 20th.  I need to take pictures of Rosalie Freeman's ROSEGIRL's destash to me (Thank you again Rosalie!) and the swap between me and Tori (THANK YOU TORI!) so it'll leave something interesting for the anniversary post!! 

Midway Segment

June 20th 2013 is the first year anniversary of this blog!! I am so excited! On that day, I will post how many views I have had year-to-date and I couldn't do it without all of you!

When I first started this blog, this took the place of spreadsheets and lists, because God knows, I can't keep up with anything like that, not willingly anyway.  So I designed my blog, to help me keep track of scents/vendors/orders so I could remember if I like them or not!  If they were reorderable or not, even though sometimes I may not be the best record keeper of REMEMBERING/keeping track of my notes!  I may have posted this blog on a few FB pages and groups, only because I'm proud of my blog (Be it smaller than many that I am a fan of!) I now have 18 followers (that's alot for me!) I love when I'm online talking in groups and pages, and someone says, "Hey, aren't you that Ashley from Scentsmakemyday?"  I get all giddy and excited... like I'm famous!

So I wanted to say a early thank you to everyone who likes to read the blog!!  I love all of the comments/ +1's (by the way, whoever does the +1 on all of the posts since January maybe, thank you!! :D ) that you all leave!!

HHS Lemonberry Cake- I actually like this one!!  Hubby doesn't like it though.  Maybe because I had it melting with ZB, I dunno.  It's nice airy fruitiness to it!! Strong scent!! Very good!!

HHS Granma's VBN Zucchini- I had to reorder this one in a cup because I had accidentally ordered the six pack last time in palm instead of paraffin.  I couldn't even bring myself to melt it based on cold sniff.  I just couldn't do it.  So I wanted to make extra sure I liked it in paraffin!  It's fantastic!! Order! Order! Order!

HHS Granma's Cake Batter Zucchini- Another one that I would reorder in a heartbeat! Yummy!! I have a feeling that my next HHS order is going to be alot of Granma blends!
HHS Vanilla Sugar Cookie Dough Bread- I have this with Pink Sugar and it's one of my favorites! So obviously, VSCDB is amazing!!!

K's Kreations Candied Raspberry Bliss- This one was a nice raspberry blend!  It was nice, strong, fragrant, and I ordered it in a single scallop!  I think I am finding that I am not a raspberry fan!  So it wasn't on my reorder list, just because it's raspberry!  But those who like raspberry, I'd highly recommend it!!

K's Kreations Sea Island Strawberries- This one I was really excited about trying! I love grapefruit blends, but I love the idea of strawberries to mellow out the grapefruit some!! It did not disappoint! I am INLOVE with this scent!! It's soo great!! It combines itself to a fruity mix! Not too sour, not too sweet!! It's fantastic!!  Make sure to get this in the brittle first!
Shayz Scentz Pink Dreams- This is one of my favorites anyways!! Pretty, strong, and nice to smell!! Nothing lavendery or anything, but very nice!
HHS Granma's Serendipity Strawberry Dream Cake- This was a custom-blend of mine, and I love it!! It's amazing!! I was trying to duplicate Sugar and Spice's Strawberry Serendipity Ice Cream Cake ZB.  This blend is sooo great!! It's amazing!! Another great blend!!
HHS Pink Chiffon- Holy crap, I've never encountered a dupe that is so STRONG!  I had this melting in my bedroom with the door closed.  I was in the living room and this scent was blasting through the door!! This is the first dupe I've really had luck with.  Even though I love the Dolce and Gabbana dupe of Light Blue, it is light.  This one is STTTRROOONNNGGG!! If anyone has any hesitations on it, I'd go ahead and recommend the six pack!



My BeauxSavonsFrais package is taking a little longer than expected, which is OK! :) :) Totally worth the wait!! I should have pictures, at the latest, by Thursday!  It should be going out today!! I also have my RG destash coming from Rosalie Freeman and the lottery destashes.  I also have my swap with Tori Strother being sent out today!! I totally can't wait!! All this wax SHOULD be here this week!  It's my first time having a package sent from out of the country, so not too sure how it works!  But can't wait!
