The Bathing Garden and K's Kreations

I have just celebrated my 22nd birthday yesterday, and got some great packages this week!!

No one ever tells you when you become an adult, your birthday gets reduced to paying the tag office for the new year's car tag, sometimes getting your driver's licenses renewed, and everyone goes around pretending like it's just a normal day.  Where did the days go, where you woke up and everyone around was jumping and screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  Like it was a freakin' holiday!

I asked my husband if he thought it was silly/childish of me to wish my birthday was a holiday.  Everytime you went somewhere on your birthday, they had to commemorate the day by doing something special, just for you!  A little freebie here, a little discount there.  Something special at every turn!  He just smiled and hugged me.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of my birthday.  My husband made the day perfect!! Yes, we had to wait two hours to get both of our licenses renewed.  Yes, we had to go to the tag office to pay the Ad Valor um tax on my beautiful Buick Lesabre.   I did go eat at Stevi B's!  And Barry knew I was wanting to ry some new liquer (Tequila!!) So here are a few photos!  Plus he took a ton of photos with me, birthday present within itself!

So, to the actual WAX!  I got a The Bathing Garden order!! My very very first!! It's beautiful!!

I got Merlia the Mermaid, Guava Berry Gelato, White Chocolate Fudge & Rock Candy and a 4oz scrub in Cake Batter Ice Cream!

I also got freebies in a clamshell in Monster Mash and a 2oz scrub of Candy Corn!!

I am waiting for everything to cure, but have already broken into my scrub Candy Corn sample, and I looovvveee it!! :D

Now for my K's Kreations!!

I was lucky to get some katchem's on K's Kreations group!! I got Toasted Peppermint, Irish Cream, Strawberry Banana Smoothie, and Spicy Apples & Peaches!  

I also got some samples in Christmas Cabin, Snowman Balls, and Pepperberry Wreath!! Yay!!

So now I am officially 22 years old!! Yay!! And more into wax, than ever!! haha!  

I am still expecting packages from HHS and JLCCW!! But no rushes on either!! I can't wait!

I seem to have the itchy lucky trigger finger lately!!

First of all: I won Jaimie Lauren Cupcakery and Confections in Wax GIVEAWAY on her Group Page on Facebook!! I was really thinking about not entering, wasn't feeling too lucky last night.  But I thought, "Well if you never try, you won't ever win."  So I went ahead.  And woohoo!! I did!! It's going to be my first JLCCW in a long long time!! I missed my JLCCW!! <3

Then, on Long Cane Primitives Group Page, Cindy was offering some RTS bags from the orders that she was making, and I got Isles of Serendipity and TM Pink Ribbon Cookies!  Yum!!!  They are absolutely delicious!! I am waiting for them to cure, hopefully will give them a week, and I will MELT!

I also melted some K's Kreations! I had ordered a ton of singles to try out and I found TWO MORE reorderable scents that are fantastic!!

Sugared Cinnamon Noel- This one is perfect for people who don't like a spicy, red hot cinnamon.  This is such a sweet but not too sickeningly frosting-y sweet cinnamon! I've been testing these out in the second bathroom, and my husband walked in, and said it was like something was baking!! It's so amazing!

Smiley Face- Cold sniff, I smelled alot of clover.  And I'm not a green-earthy type of scent person.  Just not... so cold sniff, it kinda ruined the citrusy part of it a little bit.  But when I melted it, it made me think of the laundry room in my old house growing up!! Citrusy and smelling like the strong citrusy detergent!! It makes you think of being a kid, running through the laundry room to the pool or something like that!  I believe Kathy has said that it was discontinued by the supplier... which is so sad!

The Bathing Garden and K's Kreations

Sorry for the long hiatus.  I just haven't been in the wax-sharing mood lately!! But I haven't been ordering much either, so I would have been boring!

I made an order!!

I had just joined The Bathing Garden's group yesterday, and whaddya know?  She was adding stock!  And of course, I went through her scent list, and found a bunch of scents I wanted and her in stock, she had 3-4 that was on that list!!

I am definitely taking a picture of these (unlike my K's Kreations's order, which half of which is melted... already!).  But I have to take pictures of these, because they are SOOO pretty!! I've seen so many pictures of the detail that Shannon from TBG puts into these clamshells.  Wowza!!

Next time, I hope to try her infamous scrubs!! I hear nothing but rave ranting reviews!


Had a bunch of singles and wanted to test them out!  Here are the ones that are brittle worthy!!

Miss Scarlett's Cookie Bread- If you are any type of Serendipity fan, you must have this blend!! It blends Serendipity with berries and yummy cookie bread!! It's delicious!
Vanilla Butter Fudge- I have been waiting and waiting to try this.  I have been afraid of the butter note... and the fudge note.  I was expecting some really decadent, too rich for my nose scent, but it's absolutely delicious vanilla yumminess!!  I will quote Trish Aguilar: "Vanilla on Steroids!"
Wild Pink Cookie Bread- This one is basically Wildberry, Pink Sugar, and Cookie Bread.  If you like these three things separately, you need to try them together! Not too much of any particular scent, but a great blend!
Pumpkin Souffle- This is soooo good! This is almost like a mix between Marshmallow Fireside and Pumpkin Cupcake from BBW!  It's creamy pumpkin with a hint of cinnamon and tiny bit of (I think) clove to make it warm!! It's soooooooo good!! And I hate things with clove, but this works!
Sugared Ribbon Cookies- Pink Sugar+Blue Ribbon Cookies.  Yes! Yes! Yes!
Sea Island Strawberries- This one is a reiteration from previous posts, but it's the perfect blend of authentic grapefruit that is sweetened by strawberries!  Very Very nice!! I got brittle in this one already!

This is so far! I still have half of my singles to try out!! I have found that the coconuts have a weird undertone to my nose, almost like popcorn (I know, weird) Soooooo.. no coconuts for me!

I have gone through all the summery ones first!! So now I'm on to the fall/winter ones!! Gotta stock up for fall!! <3



 

Ava's Country Cupboard!

I've got my second Ava's Country Cupboard order here!!

It was all RTS!  So I ordered it on Saturday I think, then it was here today!

Let me let you guys look at these cupcakes!! They are GORGEOUS!! So decorative!! My camera didn't do it justice, but I bet if I laid them out, someone would try to eat one!

HHS Granma's Toasted Cinnamon Noel- This one is a custom blend and is so nice for the non-spicy cinnamon lovers!! Creamy and warm!! If you guys get a chance, and can't come up with a blend, try this one!!

HHS Granma's Raspberry Zinger ZB- I mixed this one up from Prim Words that I had, and just plopped them in together.  I DEFINITELY need this again!! Sooo yummy!! 

Pics & Petals Bakery Shop- This one is good!! It has alot of apple in it, to me! But it's a nice bakery scent!! Nice and strong!!

HHS Granma's Monkey Farts- My custom blend, LOVE!

HHS Granma's Hot Apple VBN- This one I blended with Granma's Monkey Farts- I couldn't smell too much with it, especially considering I split the scent shot in half!  I am going to try the other half in my warmer in the bathroom, so I can test the scent without other scents clouding it!

HHS Granma's Fluffy Pink Blackberry Butter Jam Cookies- This one was another custom blend, this one is really good!! Great for Pink Sugar and Blackberry Butter Jam Cookie fans alike!

Angel-Made-Scents Pistachio Coconut Fluff- Of course, if you've been reading this blog, you know I'm a HUGE PCF fan!! This one is a little tiny sample, but really good!! YummM!!

End of Summer......

I figure beginning of August usually signifies the end of summer for me.  Coincidentally, my birthday is in August, so usually, when I was planning my birthday party; everyone was starting the old habits of "Back-To-School" shopping and an early bedtime.

Now I live in an apartment right next to the playground, and like an old Scrooge, I can't WAIT for everyone to go back to school.  (Screaming kids on the jungle gym at 10:30pm, I can't wait for those little kids to be in BED!) Haha!

Haley's Heavenly Scents Granma's Pumpkin Crunch ZB-Soooo nice!! Such a creamy cozy pumpkin scent!! I have some of this (I can't remember if I have it with Toasted Marshmallow or not) but it's on the way!
Haley's Heavenly Scents Girl's Night Out- REALLY LIKE!! So nice and fizzy kinda!  Definitely try this out!

Butterfly Lane Serendipity Noel- Yesss... this one is great!! Need this one when BL reopens!
Sugar and Spice Pistachio Coconut Fluff- This is one scent that just won't quit!! I'm INLOVE with this!! I need like, bags and bags.  No lie!! I hope to order some from Long Cane Primitives when she reopens on the 15th of August!!
Orchid Lake Candles Pink Chiffon- This one is a pretty good dupe, I think I like HHS's a little bit better!! But really good!
Orchid Lake Candles Watermelon- This one is OK.  I think I am growing out of watermelon for a bit... but like coconut, I'll come around to it again.  But overall, this watermelon is very sweet.  I like the ones that are a little sour!!  Weird, I know! lol
Front Porch Welcome Friends- This one had a TON of clove, or something in it that was very unappealing.  I wanted to like it, but it just didn't do it for me.

Also on a bit of the non-wax side, I celebrated my four year dating (or rather just being together 4 years) anniversary.  My husband thinks its a little silly to be celebrating our first date, now that we are married, but I keep thinking, "This is the day, the date, that started it all.  The memories, the moments, the essence of what was to come!" So I like to celebrate a little bit anyway!  We'll do our real celebrating on our wedding anniversary (February 16th), since our birthdays are so close to our dating anniversary.  It would probably run all together!

So my deal with Ice Cream Scoop Dough Bread, I had bought a few blends in cups in my last order I'd received.  I hated it before, tried it from another vendor and it was TERRIBLE!  So I tried Lemon Drop Ice Cream Scoop Dough Bread and Granma's Ice Cream Scoop Dough Bread, both from Haley's, and they're fantastic!! I don't know if it's just a different oil, but it's amazing!! 

I have my 4th of July order from HHS, the only order I'm waiting on! It's going to be an amazing order!!

Next order from HHS: I'm planning on maybe bark in Toasted Marshmallow.  I'm debating between another bag in Pink Chiffon OR Pink Vanilla Sugar Cookie Dough Bread.  I can't decide.  I may end up getting both!

Buggytown!

I am part of What Smells So Good and had participated in the 750 Fan Games!

It was super fun!! I actually won something!  Woohoo!!

It was a sampler box from Buggytown Candles, which I had never tried before!! So, of course, I was super ready and excited to try!

My mailman took a few detours and brought this beautiful box back to the Post Office a few times.  Luckily, I got it redelivered!!!

Here's what I found! <3

I wasn't expecting NNNEEAARRR as many tarts as there was!! I was expecting 10-12 tarts... There was probably 30! Sooo good!! 

First of all, the packaging was outstanding!! It was so cute!! From when I opened the box, the first picture was what I saw!  I LOVE the gingham packaging!! So cozy/cute!

Then I pulled it off to find another tissue paper with "It's a Soy!"  Hahaha I thought it was so cute!!

Then came the scent shots!!! A few of the lids had come off during transit, but they didn't go far, so it was easy to pick which ones went to which!  

They are ALL soy, so I have to let them cure, going to try for 2-3 weeks!

Favorites include Almost Paradise, Fierce, Lime in da Coconut, Amish Country, and Vanilla Cinnamon!! 

My Melting Diary:

HHS Pink Cotton Headed Ninny- This one is really nice!  It is light, but it is a really nice bedroom scent, especially if you don't want super strong while you are sleeping!

HHS Pink Lemonade- This one has such a nice smell to it!  The most realistic Pink Lemonade I think I've had in a long time!  You could almost drink this if it were edible!! Not too sugary, not too sour, perfect!

HHS Strawberry Divine Cake- I melted this with the Pink Lemonade, so I got a really nice Pink STRAWBerry Cake Lemonade! I'd recommend this little blend!! Very nice!

HHS Pink Noel- FAVORITE!

Butterfly Lane- Almost Paradise/Pina Colada- This one smells fantastic! Very good!! And strong!  I have smelled Almost Paradise by itself too; I need something with that scent in wax form!

K's Kreations Southern Sunshine- Such a great nice citrus scent!! 

Rosegirl's Lions, Tigers, and Bears- This one smells better than I originally thought!  Pretty good! 

HHS Toasted Blackberry Butter Jam Cookies- I think I like the Granma's one a little bit more, but think about, Granma's TOASTED Blackberry Butter Jam Cookies!!  I am planning on getting some Toasted Marshmallow in brittle, so it's possible!  

Streetman's Orange You Glad- Such a nice orange scent!! It's a straight orange which I'd recommend blending!  Very strong and nice!

HHS Pink Chiffon- This is rapidly becoming a favorite!! Bath and Body Works's version is strong on the licorice note, but this one is not.  It's soft but strong!  Very VERY great!!! :D

Rosegirl's Marshmallow Smoothie/Cotton Candy/Bubble Gum- I need more of this!! Barry says it smells like an expensive, not so sweet but sweet frosting!  Yummmmmm!!!

Alright!! No orders just yet!! I know I will plan one for K's Kreations!! What are you all thinking about getting from K's when she reopens?? I know, I KNOW I want Sea Island Strawberries, Wild Pacific Cookie Bread, and Vanilla Butter Fudge!! And hopefully TONS of cookie bread blends!! yumm!!
